We are in the midst of the holiday season. It is the most shopped season of the year. Is your site holiday ready? You know people will be shopping. You need to make sure they are buying from you. If you make a few simple changes and follow these steps, you can cash in on the holiday shopping rush.
Offer Free Incentives and Sales
One of the biggest turn off for online shoppers is shipping. In fact, over 70% of shoppers will not buy a product because of the cost of shipping. A good way to cash in on holiday shopping is to offer free shipping. Most affiliate programs like Amazon Affiliates or Commission Junction offer products with free shipping for the holidays. Take advantage of their generosity and pass it on to your customers.

Most shoppers also have several gifts to buy this holiday season. They are always looking for the best price they can get. Look for holiday deals that your readers will appreciate. Something as simple as 10% off can mean the difference between a sale or a pass.
Change Your Products to Suit the Holiday
Product needs change with holiday seasons and your products should change to reflect the season. Christmas will bring higher toy and electronic sales. Halloween shows an increase in costumes and decorations. Before each holiday do your research to make sure you are selling the products that are in high demand. With a simple web search you can find the best products to sell each season. Before the holiday gets here, check out these sites to see what products you should be selling:
- Ebay Pulse
- Amazon Best Sellers
- About.com Editor’s Picks
- Amazon Holiday Toy List
- Google Trends
- Yahoo Trending Now

Create Review Posts
One of the best ways to generate sales is to review products. Online customers do not have the luxury of holding your products in their hands before making a purchase. Write posts that review several products in your niche. You can include links to your products in each review. The more information you give your customers, the more likely you are to make a sale.
Make Buying Easy on Your Customers
The holiday season is hectic. Take some time to make your site user friendly and you can increase sales. Include links to your products on your site’s main page. Don’t make them have to search for the product they want to purchase. You can also include helpful information like the last day to order and get their product on time. The easier you make your site to navigate for your customers the best.
The holiday season should mean increased sales to your site. People are busy shopping and you want to get in on the holiday rush. With these few simple steps, you can ensure that your sales skyrocket this holiday season.
I’ve also put together a nice report to help you profit from the Holiday trends in affiliate marketing. You of course get this report COMPLETELY FREE because you are one of my loyal subscribers and students. Here ya go…

As an affiliate marketer, Facebook can be your best friend. It is a great way to meet potential customers, nurture a relationship, build your list and ultimately sell products. While you are sure to have a Facebook page up and running, are you getting the most out of your Fanpage? With a few simple steps, you can have a Fanpage that draws in customers and increases your customer base.
Make the Most of Your Profile Pic
When creating your Facebook Fanpage, what type of image did you use? One of the most common mistakes when creating your Facebook is made when you first create your page. Most people think that a profile image is limited to a 200X200 pixel image. However, with the recent changes, the sizes of profile images also changed. While you still have a 200 pixel width restriction, the height limit was raised to 600 pixels. This gives you more room to promote your products or business. Use this additional space to give your readers more information on your business.

Create a Striking Welcome Page
First impressions are everything. The same is true with your Fanpage. When someone visits your page, you want to put your best foot forward and entice them to follow you. Accomplishing this is easy when you create a Welcome Page. You can even create a page for new visitors and a separate page for followers.
Welcome pages for new customers should draw them in with information about your business and products. Give them a sample of the services that you offer. Use every trick in the book to get them to like your page. Pages for existing followers can be used to promote specials, new products and services. This way, everyone that visits your page will get new information helping you increase sales.

Creating a Welcome page is as simple as installing an app. You do not have to have html or web design knowledge. In fact, most Welcome Page apps do not even require a designed page. The most popular apps for Welcome Tab creations are:
- Pagemodo
- Fanpage Engine
- TabSite
- FaceIt Pages
Each of these programs lets you choose a layout, images and wording to create a personalized Welcome Page. The cost of running these apps range from $5-$15 per month, however, Pagemodo allows you to run one welcome page free. It is good to note however that with a paid subscription, you have access to more templates and can several Welcome pages on your Fanpage.
Use Apps to Your Advantage
Facebook Apps are your best friend, at least they should be. There are apps for creating events, sharing YouTube Videos, creating promotions and everything in between. You have access to thousands of apps to make the most of your Fanpage and you should be using them. Some of the most popular apps include:
- Networked Blogs
- Promotes your blog on Facebook and incorporates blog posts on your Facebook wall and Fanpage.
- RSS Grafitti
- Centralizes your posts. With this app, you can sync your Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages and post to all social networking sites with one click.
- Slide Share
- Shares presentations, photographs, portfolios and videos. This app lets you create presentations, slideshows, and webinars and publishes them to your Facebook Fanpage.
- Twitter App
- Syncs your Facebook and Twitter pages.
- Pagemodo
- Create free Facebook Pages
- Facebook Video
- Supports higher quality video than most video sharing sites.

Creating a Facebook Fanpage is the perfect free advertisement for your business. It does however, take time to gain friends and create a relationship with users. Simply creating a Fanpage is not enough. Make sure your page is optimized to gain the most visitors. Remember, every fan to your Facebook page is a potential customer. Get the most customers you can with these simple tips.

To My Students,
I want to personally THANK YOU for making the last 2 months so enjoyable for me. We have completed 2 webinar’s (the first 2 I have ever done in my life) and while they haven’t gone off “perfectly” they did get completed. I’ve learned a ton from this experience and I will use that knowledge to try to make each and every webinar I do more enjoyable for you to attend. Someone posted on my Live! Community that I should be sitting around in a hot tub, hanging out and just basically “enjoying life”, but that’s honestly not what I enjoy. I love putting together new training series, videos and now webinars. Call me crazy but I work until 2 or 3am most nights and get up at 9am the next morning and I am pretty much always happy doing it.
It’s part of who I am and I have embraced that fully at this point in my life. I am already planning my 3rd webinar for my students (yeah if you are reading this that means you are included!) and I think it’s going to trump the first 2 by far. Some of the challenging things to planning a webinar (from my limited experience) are:
1. Coming up with an ethical bribe that ROCKS! So you guys will attend
2. Creating killer/interactive videos leading up to the webinar
3. Creating a great email sequence to keep in your mind that the webinar is coming
4. Of course creating the training piece itself
It’s a lot of work. If all of you would just raise your hand now and say “Hey Anthony we will attend all future webinars. You can skip all of those ethical bribes (don’t give away $$) and don’t worry about all those videos. We are motivated! We will attend” then yeah maybe doing webinars would be a little easier and less time consuming ha. We all know that isn’t going to happen though, right? My JOB is to motivate you, inspire you, educate you and make you want more for yourself than you already do. I am committed to doing just that.
My 3rd webinar (which has no firm date yet) is going to ROCK! I am going to do some things you guys have NEVER seen before to motivate you to get on it. The response from our last “Free Training” webinar was so positive I figure I simply can’t go wrong staying in that direction… So stay tuned… stay focused… stay positive and I promise I am going to do my best to help you each step of the way.
Now for the best part…

Pay-per-click and cost-per-impression advertising are two great ways to generate traffic to your website. When you use PPC or CPM services, you have to write an advertisement. People who click on the ad are directed to your website, where they can make a purchase. If you want to get lots of people to click on your ad, you need to include a powerful call to action in the copy.
A call to action is just as it sounds. It’s a line in the copy that compels readers to take action. In advertising, the desired action is a purchase. Thus, the call to action should include words that will entice people to make a purchase.

Generic Call to Action
While most advertisers understand the importance of including a call to action, few know how to properly craft one. Instead of coming up with a compelling call to action, they use generic phrases such as “Order today” or “Buy now.” These generic phrases don’t elicit a response from readers.

Instead of using a generic call to action, you need to come up with compelling phrases that will actually make someone feel as if he has to take action immediately. Use phrases like:
- Download the report
- Get your quote
- Get your 20% discount today
Notice that each of these phrases is specific to an actual product or service. Because of that, they are not generic, and thus, will have more power with the readers.

Evaluate your PPC and CPM ads and see if they will benefit from changes to the call to action. If so, make those changes so your click through rate and conversions can go up.

So since my last post about “blogging online” I have had many request to keep up with my blogs about how to create your own blog, generate traffic to your blog and ultimately make money from your blog. As you can see I don’t really use my blog to make money. You probably don’t want to follow my blog as an example of “how to make money from blogging”. The main reason is I simply don’t have the desire to have a huge blog that requires me to post daily. Many people, however, see this as a great way to generate income and have a great time doing it. So with that in mind I am going to share more insight on this opportunity with you over the next few weeks.
So let’s get started…
Step 1: You need a blog!
Yeah in order to make money from blogging the first thing you need is a blog. WordPress is in my opinion the best, hands down. That’s what I use and it’s actually what just about every blogger uses. In order to have one you will need to setup a hosting account to host your blog. I suggest using HostGator simply because once you setup your hosting account they have a feature that will auto install WordPress! That means you don’t really have to know much of anything to get your own blog live online. Pretty cool huh?
Step 2: Determine Your Topic
This is an important step. You need to determine the direction your blog is going to go in.. here are some things to think about:
A. Who is your target audience
B. What are you going to discuss on the blog
C. What revenue generating opportunities are there in that space
D. Where would you find your target audience (i.e. where do you find them to promote your blog)
Step 3: Get on a schedule
One of the most important things (I think anyway) is getting on a blogging schedule. This means just getting yourself acustom to blogging daily, every other day or weekly. It’s important to always reach out to the people reading your blog with new information on your topics. If you let your blog sit for too long without updating it people tend to forget about it. Go into your blogging with a good plan of action and you will end up more successful in the end.
Ok so how is all of this done…
Step 1: Solution
Simply go to HostGator right now and sign up. I think its like under $5/month for hosting which is pretty dang cheap. I use their service myself and they do a great job. Plus they have an affiliate program that pays you $50 for anyone you refer to them! Heck even I use that program! But really they have the best service and I mean how do you beat $5 a month for hosting and WordPress installed? Checkout HostGator now just Click Here…
Step 2: Solution
This is something you simply must determine on your own. Here are some suggestions to help you decide on what might be good for you:
A. Your target audience really depends on “what you are blogging about”. I suggest writing about something that you currently like or are interested in at the moment.
B. Again like I said blog about something you enjoy or something you know a lot about. Of course it needs to be something other people are interested in as well otherwise you will never have readers!
C. Once you’ve determined your subject that will help you determine your target audience. Now it’s easy to find revenue generating opportunities that fit within that demographic or target audience.
D. Now that we know all of that information it’s pretty easy to brainstorm on how to locate and advertise your blog to your target audience. (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Forums etc)
Step 3: Solution
Discipline. Success simply does not come to those put forth no effort. Don’t expect to make millions from your blog. Trust me it will take hard work to ever make the first penny. The fact is people do make money from blogging and it can be a lucrative opportunity. Those people making money will probably tell you “blogging is my job”. Yeah they think of it as a “job” because it requires time, energy and ambition.
Well I hope this helped shed some light on blogging. My next post will give you more of the “revenue generating” ideas for blogging. For now simply stay focused on getting your blog setup and choosing your topic to blog about. The rest will come in due time!
