As I said in my last post I had an amazing weekend! It started in Anaheim speaking at a wonderful event and ended up in Los Angeles, Ca at the 2009 Rock The Kasbah charity event with Richard Branson. I am sure all of you know who he is but what you might not be aware of is all the things he and his mother Eve Branson are doing to help people around the world. A lot of money was raised to help people at this event and I was honored to just be a part of it.
It was awesome to say the very least. We had performances from Estelle, Gavin Rossdale and Natasha Beddingfield. I was also able to see a few people like Linsday Lohan, Paula Abdul, The Shamwow guy (lol) and naturally Sir Richard Branson himself…. all in all it was a great weekend and an amazing event!

So I am finally back from a very long weekend that was absolutely amazing. It started out in Anaheim, Ca where I was asked to speak at The Grove right outside the stadium where the Angles play baseball. Sharon Lechter asked me to speak and I have to say I was very overwhelmed with the entire event. There were so many people there to celebrate not only the launch of her new book “Three Feet From Gold” but also to raise money for the Napoleon Hill Foundation. There were so many amazing people at this event I felt honored just to be there let alone to be asked to speak. My good friend Mark Victor Hansen (Chicken Soup Co-Author) is due many thanks for bringing me in to such a wonderful group of people.
I was able to get a picture with Bob Proctor right before we left Ahaneim….. for those of you who don’t know who he is do a quick Google search. The man is a legend….. spending a weekend with him, Sharon Lechter, Mark Hansen and so many others was simply amazing. I am thankful for the opportunity to speak and hope you will all purchase the book “Three Feet From Gold” to help a wonderful cause!

Well as you all know I have started the “weekly video blog” on the home page of AnthonyMorrison.com and so far it’s been a huge success! You are all watching the videos, leaving me comments and in the end staying engaged and motivated to be successful Internet marketers. That’s what this website is really all about at the end of the day. I just wanted to create a place to let people help people like the Live! Community and then also a place that allows me to share insight, knowledge or maybe just one small piece of information that might help keep you motivated each week.
I really believe we have a great thing going here and I am excited to watch as it grows leaps and bounds each and every week. We now have over 500 members to the Live! Community which is simply amazing considering it was only an idea in my head just a few short weeks ago. We have people placing their own blogs and sharing their own stories. It’s going exactly the way I hoped it would go when I launched it. I want to thank all of you for making the Anthony Morrison Live! Community a success. I really hope you are learning from it each and every day and it’s keeping you motivated and inspired to find your own success on the Internet.

If you don’t own a domain name by now it’s probably time you register one for yourself. You can register your own domain names at www.PurchaseYour.com or really anywhere else on the Internet. I personally think owning a domain name is a must especially if you plan on doing business online. Domain names are simply “virtual real estate” which really make sense because Internet entrepreneur’s build businesses on these domain names.
Some people want to own a domain name simply to own one. A lot of my friends will try to buy their name .com .us .net or just .something so they can say they own their “name” on the Internet. That isn’t all together a bad idea, however, if you get creative and register some good domains you can actually make money from them. There is an entire industry built around buying, selling and trading domain names just like real estate. One of the websites that covers this industry best is DNJournal.com which lists a weekly report of domain names sold. Beware! What you see might just blow your mind. When you see that some domains have sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars and many domains have sold for thousands of dollars. It is in fact mind boggling.
Just a short lesson today on thoughts running through my head. If you have a creative idea or you are just looking to break into doing business on the Internet my suggestion would be start off by just owning a domain name and getting a feel for the industry as whole. It’s easy to do, fun and can actually turn out to be profitable for those that find a “gem” of a domain name.

As I said in my previous few posts the desire for me to write about various ways to generate income online has been made clear to me by all of the emails I have received from my clients, students, members and friends. So I have decided to open up the Anthony Morrison Official Blog to share my ideas and tips on making money in other industry and not just Affiliate Marketing. One of the things I will mention right now is that I personally have NOT generated any income by blogging. I do know many people that do, however, I write my blog to reach people and inspire, motivate and educate them about marketing and how to make money on the Internet.
With that said I obviously DO KNOW HOW to make money by blogging online. So I am going to give you just a few tips right now to get you started. Here is a list of things you will need:
1. Hosting Account
2. Wordpress
3. Domain Name
4. Topic
Once you have these things are you ready to go! The topic you blog about is very important. To generate income with a blog you have to sell advertising either to individuals and companies or by way of programs like AdBrite.com or Google AdSense. Obviously some industries (topics) are more competitive than others online. The more competitive they are the more they pay for advertising and in turn the more you can make from your blog.
Blogging revenue can come from the following methods:
1. Advertising via Adsense
2. Sponsored Advertising You sell Directly To The Client
3. Creating a Mailing List
4. Utilizing Affiliate Marketing Throughout Your Blog

This post is really dedicated to those who want to run an online retail store. Obviously people call this e-commerce online and it’s a huge industry. As I said in my previous post there are a number of things you can do to make yourself standout from the crowd and be successful. I previously discussed simply writing your ads in an effective way to get an emotional response from the customer. This is a great idea and I suggest you put it to work for you right now.
There are, however, other ways to really jump start your success if your currently running an online store and selling products. Before getting into this to deeply let me share with you what I think we all know about online shopping:
1. Millions are spent in online shopping each year.
2. Most buyers typically look for a toll free phone number on the website before purchasing.
3. Most buyers will call the toll free number and order over the phone rather than actually ordering online.
Ok so with that we know that money is spent online and customers really want to see a toll free phone number on your site simply because it adds validity to your business. Most people will actually call the phone number to order or at least to make sure your operating a real business. So when I started my first retail business online I knew these three things. I also knew the following:
1. Most businesses close between 5pm and 6pm each day.
2. Visitors to my business would be coming from all different time zones including international customers.
So armed with this information I realized that MOST businesses were closing at 5pm so if that business was on EST they were actually closing down for the day at around 2pm PST. That means the average working person in California would have no way of calling this business and ever reaching a live person. Knowing that most people want to speak on the phone before making a purchase I figured that this business was losing a ton of money because people on PST were probably not buying from them. I worked out that same scenario for all different time zones and realize a lot of businesses were losing a lot of customers.
My big idea: 24/7 TOLL FREE ORDER LINE
That’s right. I was dedicated to being successful and making my business jump to the top of my industry, fast. You need to be just as dedicated to your success if you want to really accomplish great things. You see while everyone else was closed I was open and I knew if a customer had the option they were going to call me rather than wait until the next day to call the other companies. I also knew I didn’t have to worry about “price matching” near as much because I could always tell people that our support separates us from the others in the industry, and most people would agree.
This idea catapulted my business to doing millions of dollars in a small niche industry on the Internet. The great thing is customers become repeat customers! So you want to get as many as you possibly can and they will stick with you as long as you provide great support and great prices. Doing this allowed me to build a huge customer base and a huge income. I realize I had to give up a little of my time to get this done, but it worked and built my business really fast.
This is just another lesson in why it’s so important for you to stand out from the crowd if you want to have a successful business of any type, especially an Internet retail business.

I get hundreds of emails asking me “why don’t you cover other topics on your blog” and I guess that makes a bit of sense right? Afterall I made millions in online e-Commerce long before I actually started making money with affiliate marketing. I know affiliate marketing was much easier, but still this website is about helping people make money online in every way possible. So with that said I am introducing now a new section to my personal blog here called “e-Commerce”. I am going to share tips, advice and techniques that I used to build a huge million dollar a year retail business online in a very small niche market.
This first tip I can give you is STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD so that means you have to do things other people don’t do in order to get noticed. For example I am in Miami this week and I saw an ad on a billboard that said the following:
YOUR WIFE IS NOT HOT because she called (companys name) A/C Service
Look at that ad. It doesn’t say “To get cool call us..” or “Are you hot? Call…” it says something that made it stand out from every other ad I have personally ever seen. Everyone knows if you tell a man his wife isn’t hot it’s going to elicit some kind of emotion from him. It’s that very emotion that made me notice that ad and pay attention to it.
Start thinking outside the box with your advertising and branding and you too can get noticed and build your business. Wether it be retail or affiliate marketing.

I am excited to announce today that I am very close to launching my new product “30 Days To Massive Traffic”. This new course will consist of DVDs, Audio CDs, and a nice manual and should be available by the middle of October. I have put a lot of effort into this course so I am hope everyone loves it tremendously. One of the big keys for me has always been making sure my students stay motivated and take “small steps” instead of attempting to make giant leaps. I think this new course really outlines those “small steps” and how they can eventually turn into giant “calculated” leaps which is what is important.
Everyone knows making money on the internet is in fact possible. There are so many people that do it each and every day. It’s like real estate we all know it is possible to make money, but knowing where to start is sometimes the hardest thing in the world to figure out. Great news everyone we have launched the new and improved AnthonyMorrison.com this week. There are so many new features that I really believe are going to help everyone tremendously. The most notable addition to the website is obviously the new Anthony Morrison Live community. This thing is going to rock! It’s a great way for everyone to join together to learn, grow, and prosper online. I have always wanted to use my reach to help others help others, if that makes sense. I really think this new community is going to make that happen, fast.
We have also added a Marketing 101 section to the site where I am going to be defining some of the most commonly used terms in internet marketing. Obviously you must start somewhere right? It’s like going back to school. Before you learned to formulate sentences you learned to spell and pronounce words. Before you can do affiliate marketing or internet marketing in general you need to know how to understand the words used on a daily basis. Just another way I am attempting to help everyone really become informed on this industry.

I am sure you can all see I have now added a new category to my personal blog, affiliate marketing. The reason I did this is because so many people send me personal emails (and yes I read my own emails) asking me for advice on how to become a successful affiliate marketer. Obviously I like to share my thoughts, insight, and advice with everyone so I thought having a section on “Affiliate Marketing” was appropriate. Don’t hesitate to post a comment here asking me specific questions or for direction. I am always looking to help in any way that I possibly can with this particular industry.
The reason I choose to go into affiliate marketing is pretty easy to understand even for someone who doesn’t exactly know what affiliate marketing really is… think about it like this:
1. Wouldn’t you like to do something that DOES NOT require you to sell online?
2. Wouldn’t you like to do something that DOES NOT require you to provide customer support?
3. Wouldn’t you like to do something that DOES NOT require you to ship products, store products, or worry about competitive pricing?
Yeah of course you would and so would I, which is exactly why I choose to become an affiliate marketer. I didn’t want to have to continue selling things online for the rest of my life. I felt like my entire life was consumed with customer support, worry about my competitors prices, and then worrying about my inventory. When I found affiliate marketing it was like my “ah ha” moment you could say. Just finally something that doesn’t require all that, but still gave me the potential to earn a lot of money.
Affiliate marketing is simply just sending customer to other companies (be it large or small) and those companies will pay you a commission. The concept is actually so simple it’s almost ridiculous that everyone hasn’t heard of it or tried it out. The main pieces you need are the affiliate relationships, marketing knowledge, and a website to promote the companies. Once you have those three pieces you are set and you can almost immediately get started. I think affiliate marketing is probably the easiest way for anyone to make money online.
