Launching New Businesses by Anthony Morrison

February 4th, 2009   posted by admin in Entrepreneurship

You know I realize that the economy is “bad” right now, however, I just wonder how many people realize that it does not hurt internet businesses? Everytime I turn on the TV I see huge businesses going under, reporting lower than expected earnings, and begging for billions of dollars of “bailout money”. None of these businesses operate an “internet based” service. The fact of the matter is that the economy is in probably the worst state ever, but internet businesses continue to thrive and be profitable. I realized this was possible years ago so I invested my money, time, and heart into online businesses rather than investing in real estate, the stock market, or anything else that could take a turn for the worst really fast.

Today I am excited to announce the launch of yet another business in my portfolio. This business is going to be absolutely huge! It offers a service to people online that will continue to be needed regardless of the economy, stock market, or real estate value. We are hard at work making it better already, and we just launched it today.

My TV show is all about taking a chance, setting your mind straight, and focusing on success. My advice to everyone is focus on success and invest in yourself. I have said it time and time again investing your time, energy, and money in yourself and your own business is far safer than investing in someone else. My advice is start an internet business now! There really couldn’t be a better time to dive in and make it happen.

Build Financial Freedom in 2009

February 1st, 2009   posted by admin in Entrepreneurship

As I lay in bed finally after returning home from a 3 week tour I am reminded of what I saw on our brief three week tour. Thousands of people flocked to our conferences to hear what I had to say about making money online and building financial freedom. One thing that really stood out to me was the number of people who told me they had lost their life savings in the stock market and in real estate. If you’ve seen my show then you know my story and why I started my first business online. My father lost his life savings in the stock market just like millions of people have with the recent stock market plunge.

Here is my suggestion to everyone in America. Build your financial freedom via online businesses! One thing you don’t read about in the paper or see on tv everyday is information about online businesses closing or sales dropping off. In my opinion the safest thing to do with your time and money is invest it in yourself. Start an online business and build wealth one day at a time online. Quit investing money in other companies and falling stocks. Quit investing money in real estate and getting into debt. Start your own business!

Just my advice for the night!

2009 Underway

January 18th, 2009   posted by admin in Entrepreneurship

Well our first trip of 2009 tour was successfully completed. Week one took us to Birmingham, Alabama (close to home!). It was a great area and we had a huge turn out. I want to personally thank everyone for being so supportive. I actually met a few people that knew Justin K. (from our tv show) so that was really interesting. We are now headed back out for another two straight weeks of conferences. One of the main questions I am being asked is how the state of the economy has affected our business model. I am starting a new section to this blog called “Affiliate Marketing” just to stay up to date on the industry itself and inform you of changes and growth in the industry. I know that many businesses are really hurting right now because of our economic issues in this country, however, our business model is very sound and remains steady and profitable. We look forward to seeing everyone next week at our events!

2009 Goals & Advice by Anthony

January 3rd, 2009   posted by admin in Entrepreneurship

So you’ve seen from my last post my highlights for 2008. I have to say it was a great year, and I certainly think a successful year for me both as a person and as a businessman. 2009 comes with many questions and many obstacles I must overcome. I have so many goals and so many aspirations it’s sometimes hard to just settle down and focus on one or two things. My mind races so much fast than it really should, but I have spent some time thinking about what I want to accomplish in 2009 and my best advice for you for the new year.

My goals for 2009:

1. I really want to create another successful online business providing a service to Internet users. This will tie in with my “best advice” to you for 2009. With the recent changes in the economy a true entrepreneur learns to adjust and survive. My current businesses all provide services to Internet users, and therefore have been pretty much unaffected by the current conditions. I always talk about “diversification” and how important I really believe it is to ongoing success in any business. This year I want to diversify even more and reach out to more people with different products and services.

2. I want to get my book “The Hidden Millionaire” published by a major publisher. I self published the book because from a business standpoint it just makes sense. You actually make more money that way than if a publisher picks up the book. However, my main goal for the book was to get my story, my lessons, and my advice in the hands of millions of people around the world. Obviously a publisher is going to make that a little easier for me to accomplish. Some things are simply not about money, but rather personal goals and desires.

3. I would really like to get on the speaking tour this year. I have always wanted to deliver keynote speaches or teach people around the country how to really make their businesses grow. I have spoken to quite a few companies to represent me as a public speaker this month and plan on choosing one very soon. Delivering my message to people is really important to me and I think this would be a great way to accomplish that goal.

4. I want to meet Donny Deutsch from “The Big Idea”. I have TRIED SO HARD to get on that show! It’s absolutely rediculous. Yes I know I was on CNN, Fox, and many other news related shows but being on “The Big Idea” is just one of my lifelong goals. So if anyone out there wants to write them an email for me please go ahead :)

5. I would love to see my ChristmasForKids.us charity catch on in other states. We have been really successful here in my home town, but it’s really time for this to catch on around the country. I have some ideas on how to make that happen and I hope to be able to accomplish that this year.

The Top 3 Things You Should Focus On In 2009

1. Invest in yourself. Listen I know people all over the TV are telling you “the economy is bad” and “get ready for a bloodbath in 2009″ but hey have you seen the businesses that ARE doing well? These don’t seem to be talked about quite as much as the ones going bankrupt. I read today that the average salary for a MLB outfielder dropped from 16 million a year to 10 million a year. I am sorry but that doesn’t scream “financial crisis” to me! They are playing a GAME and making 10 million a year in a “bad economy”. The fact of the matter is yes we are going through some tough times in this country, but the great thing about the United States is it’s a country of opportunity. If you are a true entrepreneur you will have the vision and ability to adapt and be successful no matter the situation. There are plenty of industries still thriving and the Internet just happens to be one of them. Open your eyes to the WORLD OF OPPORTUNITIES that surround you and forget about the hype you hear on TV.

2. Make 2009 a year of learning. Read books, blogs, and other informational products. Learn as much as you can about business and how to be successful. Worry less about going out, partying, shopping, and other activities that aren’t really going to broaden you as an entrepreneur. It’s amazing what you can really do when you put your mind to it. Stay focused and make it your personal goal to be a successful entrepreneur in 2009.

3. Help someone every time the opportunity presents itself. Our country is built on opportunity, however, some people are not given the opportunity to learn and grow as entrepreneurs. Some of the most successful people in this country were given some kind of help to get where they are today. I am not saying go buy people a bunch of gifts and things. Dedicate your “giving” to helping others learn so they can become successful.

So thats it for 2009. My personal goals and my best advice to you as aspiring entrepreneurs. I hope to write here more often than I was able to write last year. I will share my thoughts and knowledge with you as much as possible. I sure hope you learn something from me, my story, and my life.

A True Balance – Life, Family, & Work

December 1st, 2008   posted by admin in Entrepreneurship

Well here I am at 2am writing on my blog. I am sure many people wonder why I write so late and share my thoughts with people around the world. I honestly feel like I am living a life that many people strive to reach everyday of their lives. We all strive for success in everything we do and business is no exception to that rule. However, many people really don’t understand the constant pressure and responsibility that come along with being a successful entrepreneur in today’s world. When you are a business owner you have a huge responsibility to your business, employees, and customers. Sometimes that means working until midnight and beyond to make sure they are all taken care of to ensure future growth, success, and happiness.

The problem with that is when you have a family they require the same things. Your family needs your time, devotion, and obviously you are responsible for them in every way. Sometimes it’s very hard to determine how to balance work, life, and family. I know for me it’s been such a trying event I wrote about it in my book “The Hidden Millionaire” as one of my twelve key principles to being a successful entrepreneur.  I have always been a family oriented person. My family has and always will be the most important thing in my life.

For me balancing work and family has been tough, however, I have managed to figure out how to make things work in my world. The thing is when YOU start your own business you must figure out how to make it work in YOUR world. Things in your life (and in mine) are always changing and you must be able to alter your plan to suffice. So to all of you aspiring entrepreneurs remember to think about how to make time for your family while still focusing on your business.

One thing I will always say is that family is more important that money. If I wake up tomorrow and my bank account reads $0.00 who’s going to be there for me? Who’s going to make me smile no matter what? My Family. If you wake up tomorrow and your family isn’t there….. Do you think having money is going to make you smile?

I wish you all success in both business, and balancing work & family.

Do You Want To Retire At 21?

November 25th, 2008   posted by admin in Entrepreneurship

Ok so maybe you’re already past 21 but hey you still want to retire young right? One thing I have noticed is that people are astonished when they hear about my success as an entrepreneur at such a young age. I think the reason for their “astonishment” is that they aren’t aware that I am not by any means alone. There are many young entrepreneurs in today’s digital environment. The implementation of the internet has opened the door for so many young people to become wealthy.

Years ago the idea of a 21 year old making millions of dollars was very farfetched to say the least. The only way that could occur is if they started a business, which probably would have caused them to drop out of school. Today you can finish school AND start your own business thanks to the internet. I have had the opportunity to meet many young entrepreneurs over the past two years and each one has their own unique story. I remember meeting Cameron Johnson (www.cameronjohnson.com) while in California this summer. Cameron has used the internet to make his first million dollars before even turning 21 years old!

If you want to learn more about young successful entrepreneur’s I suggest you check out www.retireat21.com. The site was founded by Michael Dunlop who was born in 1988! Here is a guy 6 years younger than me who’s got his own business online. He interviews many successful entrepreneur’s and helps share their stories of success with the world. His website generates an income for him, and inspires many young people around the world to be successful.

I’ve seen so many people make millions of dollars with things as easy as MySpace layouts, blogs, and simple applications online. The world is changing and so is the economy on a daily basis. The internet, however, remains a steady and viable medium to reach customers and create businesses at any age. If the stories seen on www.retireat21.com don’t inspire you to take the plunge and start your own business I really don’t know what will.

Anthony Morrison – Update

October 22nd, 2008   posted by admin in Entrepreneurship

The past few weeks have been quite a rollercoaster ride for me as well as my staff members. We have driven from Mississippi to Utah to San Diego and now to Las Vegas. We have certainly covered a good part of the country and met many people along the way. I have really enjoyed speaking this year and as I reflect on the entire year I have to say its been a wonderful time.

As I sit here in my bus in Las Vegas, Nevada my mind is on something very important to me. I will be speaking at my old high school (MRA) October 30, 2008 to the senior class. I have about 20 to 30 minutes to deliver a very sound and inspiring message to these kids, and I want to make sure it’s done right. I am use to speaking to people all over the country so standing there in front of 55 kids isn’t going to bother me a bit. I am, however, worried about the message itself. What should I tell a graduating senior? I have some ideas and ill post them in the next few days.

I know that I want to make sure I do my best to inspire these kids to have an entrepreneurial spirit. America needs more business owners providing jobs and income for people in this country. I really hope the message I deliver comes out perfect, and hopefully changes their lives.

Ill keep you posted! Until then it’s back to the conference speaking for me this week in Las Vegas.

Is Now The Time? – By Anthony Morrison

October 6th, 2008   posted by admin in Entrepreneurship

Many people ask me for advice on starting a business, making a current business grow, or just investing their money in the right places. I have always told people “invest in yourself” if you really want to become successful.  With the proper advice, skills, knowledge, and planning I believe many people can become successful millionaires, and yes I am talking about even the people who never dreamed becoming wealthy would ever happend to them. The difference between the successful millionaires in this country, and those who never achieve that goal is simple: Determination, Motivation, Education, & Mindset.

Everyone knows you must be determined to be successful, and you obviously need to be motivated to succeed. You also need knowledge or “education” in order to properly go after your goal of becoming a millionaire, and being successful in business. However, one of the main things people forget is you must have the right “mindset”. Having the entrepreneurial mindset is the biggest key to launching your own business, and being successful. With our current economy I must ask you this question. Is now the right time?

Think about that for just a minute. Banks are closing down, huge businesses are going under daily, and you can’t turn on the TV without hearing something about the current financial crisis. Yet I am asking you if NOW is the right time to start your own business and go after your entrepreneurial goals. It might seem crazy, but I honestly think now is the perfect time. You probably won’t find yourself as determined and motivated to build a business as you are right now. When things are going great we all tend to fall in what I call a “rut” you wake up goto work and have no worries. It’s kinda hard to really be “driven” or “motivated” to start your own business when your just coasting along. However, when hard times hit you become more aware of your situation and its vulnerability. This creates the perfect drive, motivation, and mindset for success. Thats exactly what happend to me when my father lost his life savings in the WorldCom stock crash.

Instead of buying more stock or investing in more real estate…… why not just invest in yourself?
